Darkness To Valentine

The sun is bright,
under the beautiful sky.
I watch every wave,
sway and slide.
She comes along,
padding on the golden sands,
wispy memories,
brimming in her eyes.

Three years ago,
on that fateful Valentine,
when the screen was cursed,
and my decision blind.
To lose what I had found,
and let go of my sunshine,
the golden girl of my dreams,
left alone in the dawn-less night.

Oh! How she suffered,
What she went through!
How the monsters tormented her,
outside and inside.
But with the morning light,
she knocked at my door,
welcoming me,
with her saintly smile.
It seems like just yesterday,
but three years have passed us by.
I curse myself every day,
remembering the time,
I made her cry.

The sun is bright,
under the beautiful sky.
I watch every wave,
sway and slide.
She comes along,
padding on the golden sands,
scars scattered on the slate,
she cares to hide deep inside.

Oh! So badly she scarred.
Oh! So flawless she was.
Oh! So vile was my tirade.
Oh! How these memories I evade.
This year was high sometimes,
some low tides also came by,
we made it through
the valleys and the hills
to be pronounced, Man & Wife.

The sun is bright,
under the beautiful sky.
I watch every wave,
sway and slide.
She comes along,
padding on the golden sands,
on the honeymoon beach,
we sat and sang,
“Come along my beautiful bride,
walk down the flowery aisle,
wearing your beautiful smile,
looked at with curious eyes,
Gods kneel before my bride,
my beautiful, my only sunshine”

She held my hand,
and looked into my eyes.
She whispered my name,
and gave me a smile.
She said am forgiven,
redeemed by God’s grace,
that all the scars and heartache,
the flowing tides have washed away,
blessing us with eternal joy.

The journey wasn’t easy,
the path, thorny and hostile.
The times were difficult,
ripping off heart, body and mind.
Love is complicated,
yet easy sometimes.
And after sustaining its beauty,
the bond we make is truly divine.

The sun is bright,
under the beautiful sky.
I watch every wave,
sway and slide…
