I Waited But Its Too Late!

That night was dark,
Darkest I've ever seen
Every movement was silent
with silence that screams.

The sky was clear like never,
No cloud of confusion,
to deceive.
Stars were twinkling brightly,
in the darkness of moon-less night.
The chocking heart
still reminded of hope
"He will be back!"
its hope or dream...
We were meant to be together
we complete each other.
But now he needs to figure it out.
Is it right? or wrong whatsoever.

Clock in the calender whispered
Its October,
At twelve past an hour
Silence went deeper,
the cold darkness
deprived of love.
Cluster the thoughts
Night of loosing him or loosing her.

Standing at my window
Looking through those bars.
Captivated my love
in the cage of broken trust.
Helplessly standing there
All I could do is wait
till sun comes up.
Suffocate my aching heart
and yell your name a thousand times.
Then I take a pause,
waited for your voice to say a word
kept hearing my own breathing
rise and fall,
But no one I hear
who could answer my faded calls.

Sleepless red eyes
drowned in heartbroken tears,
searching for the partner
Who once promise to protect her.
"I'll save you from all outside,
Trust me, my precious.
My love, you're the reason I smile."
Winter may take away my love
and then the smile may be gone.

But still I ain't believe you can go away
So, I waited there,
and waited until sun rises up.
But that night was long
Cold was the darkness
In that silence, I tried to hear
"Where are you?" only reflected back
nothing else other than my beating heart.
Remembering your sleeping sound,
smiling at your heart beats I listened
wrapped in your love warmth
As cozy as blanket in your arms.

The love story you said,
the songs you played.
But today he could only ask
"When was the last time you made me happy?"
I stood at the window
and watch you leaving me behind.

That day our story ended.
The story of forever
on 14 Feb or 14th October
The night past away
The darkness mend in blue sky
the day came as bright
Sun glowing up high
As morning brought him back,
Returned home with regret in his eyes.

"Its too late" My mother said
With sobbing eyes
pointed her finger
at the body that lay
covered in white sheet
soaked in crimson fluid
Wrapped in cold death
Deprived of love.

No note of Goodbye
No last words to remembered by
A life ended.
But my love
the love story will be
Always & Forever.
"I waited, But its too late my dear.
But only in this world"
