Dream Breaker

Walking down the aisle
the girls came down holding
flowers in their hands
They are called the bridesmaids
happily smiling for the blushing bride.
Spreading white petals
a little lady followed 'em
dancing through the way
she was jumping with extreme joy.
Then the moment came
when music was played
Several hearts skipped a beat
“Here comes the bride!!”
wearing a beautiful smile
to say “I do!” to the one
and be someone's wife.

But suddenly that scene was paused
lets rewind a week back
That bride was jus another girl
Someone's sister and
an ordinary daughter.
A daughter with dreams
and plans for future unseen.
But that day was
no ordinary day for her.
She was coming back home
taken the same old road,
a public vehicle she choose
“Did she reach home?”
No! Her lifeless nude body was returned.
“What happened to her?”
Is it needed to be said in words?
No-one came for her
there was no prince savior.
She struggled for an hour on the highway floor
many passed by with no humane soul.
At last she left the world,
with tears in her eyes
and faith dying with her
dripping in front of all our sights.

Why women get insulted like this?
How long this will continue?
Didn't she had no right over her own body?
Why someone has power to scratch her soul?
The questions are unanswered
even-though several lives were
shattered for the same old cause.
What is the answer to the future
where am not safe, neither my daughter!

The pain so same revolted in all our hearts
We got together to fight it back
the government is deaf
and ignored our scars
But no more
our voice to be shut.

Am walking straight
on the lane of broken lines
for the law, for peace
for our rights to speak.
We are giving time
for the actions to be seen
for the guilty to be punished
for no one dare to foresee this.
Don't ignore this voice
coz the youth is desperate
“No Can't Do, government!”
Coz there will be no shutting up
Coz there will be no forgetting
We will be together
until you fix this.

Why there are punishment waiting for us
Why they spray us with cold water
why we are beaten to step back
when we only ask for safety we deserve?
Isn't that's the reason the unite of government formed
Isn't that's the reason the cops pledge their hearts?
Then why we have to fear
for our daughters
for our sisters
and for ourselves?
Why we are pushed away
Why we have to fight
When this is the obvious right
everyone and all of us already has.
Why they are asking us to shut up then?
Why?

DO WE HAVE TO BREAK THE LAW
TO MAKE THE LAW??

This anger has formed a picture
from the colors of our sorrows
the outlines of shame
chained in helpless pasts
So we are cleaning the brush
we are ready to paint a new tomorrow
on our own terms.

We will stand
We will stand together
until you change or break
Look at us with
your love or desperation
But the change will come
The change for better us
the change for a safe future.

One day the moment will come
when music will be played
Several hearts will skip a beat
“Here comes the bride!!”
wearing a beautiful smile
to say “I do!” to the one
and be someone's wife.
The scene won't be pause to rewind
The future she images will be her right.
She will be a bride
She will be a bride.
